Ultimately the games are enjoyable, and the story is compelling, but you''ll not be too surprised by the dramatic tone, and there''s plenty to be enjoyed. The first game is like a standard PS2 collectathon, while the two games are both well-rated. The narrative is somewhat complicated to downsize to a few sentences, particularly as the first two games undergo a dramatic shift. Despite their success, the first three were a complete trilogy and story. Naughty Dog and Before The Last of Us created the Jak and Daxter series.
JAK AND DAXTER PS2 3 SERIES
If you can handle some of the more cheesy lines, this series will be strong twenty years later. The other two games are just fantastic action RPGs in general, as well as memorable and unique characters and interesting and fast-paced gameplay. While the battle system was absolutely unique for any RPG, it was quite divisive and many disliked it. If you skip the original Chain of Memories, you would be incredibly lost when you start Kingdom Hearts 2. Re: Chain of Memories is a complete PS2 remake of the GBA game, and although many initially believed it was not plot relevant, it is a true sequel to the original game. Kingdom Hearts: Kingdom Hearts, Re: Chain Of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 2Īlthough not a standard trilogy by any means, the three Kingdom Hearts games on PS2 have a chronological order to them. The Sly Cooper trilogy is one of the best PS2 titles on the market, and it should be given to everyone. The other two games feature more open-world level design, and you complete several missions to prepare for a big heist at the end of each chapter. The first game featured a hub world with levels that were mostly limited to you to reach the end. Sly is a raccoon and a master thief who travels the globe and steals from other thieves while trying to avoid confrontations with the law. Sucker Punch would later become known for their fantastic open-world games, such as the Infamous series and the most recent Ghost of Tsushima, but their first release in the open-world genre was on PS2, with the Sly Cooper series. Thievius Raccoonus, Band of Thieves, Honor Among Thieves, Sly Cooper The Ratchet and Clank series continued to spawn a trilogy for PS3, a film, a remake of the first game for PS4, and one of the best exclusives on PS5. The first game was not too special and by far the weakest, but it provided an excellent proof-of-concept that the second and third games took the time to complete. The series follows the story of a Lombax and his tiny robot companion, beating bad guys and blowing everything up with an increasingly tense weapon.

Years before Insomniac conceived the best-selling superhero game of all time, they produced their own PS2 trilogy with a brand-new set of characters: Ratchet and Clank. Ratchet & Clank, Going Commando, and Up Your Arsenal: 6 Ratchet and Clank The most surprising aspect of all though is that a lot of these trilogies werent just excellent, they were incredible. Some franchises like Shin Megami Tensei even sold out games like they were going out of business. Action games, horror games, RPGs, platformers, and more had three or more titles in a series for the PS2.
